Central and Eastern Europe

In Central and Eastern Europe, Stichting Kinderpostzegels Nederland co-operates with other donor organisations from the Netherlands to fund projects in the social field. The participants are all private organisations and their funds are collected through fund-raising activities within the Netherlands. This informal co-operation is known as the Co-operating Netherlands Foundations (CNF) for Central and Eastern Europe. Participating donor organisations include The Janivo Foundation, The SKaN Foundation, the Foundation 'Het R.C. Maagdenhuis' and of course Kinderpostzegels.

Each participating donor organisation reviews applications for financial support, but only one donor organisation maintains contact with the local organisations in a particular country on behalf of the others. This means that the participating donor organisations decide with their own statutory bodies whether projects are eligible for financing, but donations are approved through the co-ordinating donor organisation. This helps to guarantee optimum expertise and efficiency.
